Taking Road Less Traveled
We are excited to announce the Fall 2013 Career Conferences, “Taking the Road Less Traveled,” sponsored by Iowa State University’s Program for Women in Science and Engineering. The conferences’ goal is to expose girls, sixth through twelfth grades, to career paths within science, technology, engineering and math. More than 2,500 individuals participate in this program each year. The participants will be attending career sessions that will incorporate a hands-on activity or laboratory tour. We ask all participants wear pants and closed toed shoes to accommodate laboratory tours. Please note that the cost per participant (students and adults) is $10, and conferences often fill before the deadline.
Registration Forms: available on our website www.pwse.iastate.edu/trlt.html as a fillable PDF. This means you can type each participant’s registration information. We would high encourage educators or parents to use this method to type each participant’s name. This way we avoid any spelling errors on our end. This change will hopefully speed up the registration process. However, you will still need to PRINT OFF AND MAIL US the registration forms, the conference checklist, and payment to complete the registration process. We would recommend double-siding the form if possible, because it has expanded to two complete pages. Please note, we will not accept registrations via email or phone. If you have questions regarding the registration process, please contact Erin Jackson or Carol Heaverlo.
October 17th = High School (Grades 9-12)
