AP Scholar Awards

 

AP Scholar Criteria

 

 

AP Scholar

Granted to students who receive grades of 3 or higher on three

or more AP exams in the same year.

 

AP Scholar with Honor

Granted to students who receive an average grade of at least

3.25 on all AP Exams taken and grades of 3 or higher on four

or more of these exams in the same year.

 

AP Scholar with Distinction

Granted to students who receive an average score of at least

3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or

more of these exams in the same year.

 

AP State Scholar

Granted to the one male and one female student in each U.S.

state and the District of Columbia with scores of 3 or higher

on the greatest number of AP Exams, and then the highest

average score (at least 3.5) on all AP Exams taken in the same year.

 

AP National Scholar

Granted to students in the US who receive an average score

of at least 4 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 4 or higher

on eight or more of these exams in the same year.

 

 

The Anna Purna Ghosh Advanced Placement Incentive Program

Things to keep in mind:

  • Students must take 2 exams in the same year and earn at least one scores of 3 or higher to receive reimbursement

  • Each student’s low score is thrown out

  • All scores of 3 or higher will receive the reimbursement

  • 3’s = $20, 4’s and 5’s = $30

  • A student taking 4 tests with scores of 4, 4, 3, and 2 will receive reimbursement for both 4’s and the 3

  • Reimbursements will not be received until January of the next year
